Something I've learned the past few years is that you don't go about life trying to find yourself.  Life is about creating yourself.  If you never clear away the things that stand between you and your happiness, you aren't allowing the doors of opportunity and blessings to immerse you. Clear away the negativity, the ill-fated people, and the obstructions that stand in your way. If you never make room for a better version of who you want to be, if you never make room for better things, and better ways, you aren't allowing yourself to be whatever you want to be, the best possible you. Listen to your heart, and let your heart guide you to creating the path to your dreams, to your love.
